In 2022, Transnet, in collaboration with LZ Events, hosted the “Focus on Africa” conference—a pivotal gathering that convened international and local dignitaries, ambassadors, and influential regional business leaders. This esteemed assembly aimed to foster dialogue on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity across the African continent. 

Strategic Planning and Execution 

LZ Events partnered closely with Transnet from the initial conceptualization through to the comprehensive execution and wrap-up of the event. Our approach was characterized by meticulous planning and collaboration, ensuring the flawless management of every facet of the conference.

Key aspects included: 

• Budget Administration: Efficient allocation and management of resources to deliver a high-calibre event within the established financial framework. 

• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitating clear and precise communication between Transnet and all stakeholders, including vendors and service providers, to align objectives and expectations. 

• Security and Compliance: Engaging proactively with the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and conducting continuous Joint Operations Centre (JOC) meetings to ensure strict adherence to all health and safety protocols, given the elevated status of the attendees. 

On-Site Management 

Dedicated project managers from LZ Events were present on-site throughout the conference to oversee logistics and address any arising needs promptly. Their presence ensured the seamless orchestration of the event, allowing Transnet to focus on engaging with delegates and advancing the conference’s objectives.
